■ BASIC -- Boys basketball player Donovan Miller had 19 rebounds against Melboure 3 (Australia) and averaged eight rebounds in four games at the Foothill Holiday Classic. Girls basketball player Kailai Brantner averaged 15 points in two holiday tournaments.
■ BISHOP GORMAN -- Girls basketball player Amber Lane had 17 points, six assists and four steals in a 74-22 win over Western.
■ BONANZA -- Wrestler Josh Jackson placed fifth at 135 pounds at the Las Vegas Holiday Classic. Girls bowler Veronica Schleicher had a 619 series, including a 214 game, in a 9-0 victory over Sunrise Mountain.
■ CENTENNIAL -- Boys basketball player Aaseem Dixon averaged 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds at the Elgin (Ill.) Tournament.
■ CHAPARRAL -- Wrestler Antonio Lara improved his season record to 5-2. Girls basketball player Octavia Gray had 16 points and eight rebounds against Palo Verde.
■ CIMARRON-MEMORIAL -- Boys basketball player Rico Garrett was selected as the Most Valuable Player at the Alvarez Tire Holiday Classic in Prescott Valley, Ariz., averaging 10.0 points, 9.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals.
■ CLARK -- Boys bowler Jesse Feustel had a 528 series against Rancho. Girls bowler Shannon Chapman had a 387 series against Rancho.
■ CORONADO -- Wrestler Josh Thomas won the 125-pound title at the Centennial Frosh-Soph Tournament, pinning all five of his opponents. Girls basketball player Sarah Dexter averaged 8.8 points and was named to the all-tournament team at the Las Vegas Holiday Classic.
■ DESERT OASIS -- Boys bowler Adam Eslinger had a 233 game and a 553 series against Rancho. Girls basketball player Sammi Tso had 17 points and six steals in a 54-35 win over Tech.
■ FAITH LUTHERAN -- Girls basketball player Samantha Leonard averaged nine points, five rebounds and two blocked shots in four games at the Lady Wolves Holiday Tournament.
■ FOOTHILL -- Girls soccer player Elizabeth Philpot had six goals during winter break.
■ GREEN VALLEY -- Girls soccer player Kayla Varner had a goal and two assists to help the Gators to a 2-0 start in Southeast League play. Boys bowler Anthony Shaker had a 625 series in a 9-0 victory over Palo Verde.
■ LIBERTY -- Boys basketball player Aaron Navitsky averaged 16 points and eight rebounds to lead the Patriots to a second-place finish at the Las Vegas Prep Championship. Girls basketball player Jade Washington averaged 16 points and five assists to lead the Patriots to the Lady Wolves Holiday Tournament title.
■ THE MEADOWS -- Boys basketball player Austin Brown averaged 14.5 points at the Vegas Invitational.
■ SILVERADO -- Boys basketball player Ruben Jackson averaged 18 points, four rebounds and three assists at the Desert Heat Invitational in Palm Springs, Calif.
■ SUNRISE MOUNTAIN -- Wrestler Dilon Peterson placed sixth at 140 pounds at the Eldorado Rumble. Girls basketball player Jasmine Jones averaged 11.5 points at the Vegas Invitational.
■ TECH -- Boys basketball player Michael Johnson totaled 91 points and 38 rebounds in four games at the Vegas Invitational.
■ VALLEY -- Boys basketball player Christian Kessee had 21 points and four rebounds in a 92-56 victory over Bonanza.

The senior guard averaged 12 points per game over the break as Centennial went 9-1. Klemz was named Most Valuable Player of the Las Vegas Holiday Classic, scoring eight points in the first 1:40 of a semifinal win over Highland (Ariz.) and helping the Bulldogs win the tournament.
