Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $38,000, Claiming $50,000, 4-year-olds and up
Knockout Artist - Last time he ran for this price tag, he won; was overmatched in last, facing his friends tonight.
Sartorial - Tepid chalk in another small field, get used to it; slides down in class to a more comfortable level.
Long Shot - No Dream
Race 2 - 7 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Euro Gal - Speedy sort figures to provide the target for these; showed nice improvment off a brief 2-month freshening.
Naughty Mariana - Stalker made her own job more difficult last time at the start; grinder should be coming on late.
Long Shot - Pay for Play
Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $16,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up
Holladay Road - He's a good example last time of a horse running a winning race in defeat; repeat effort wins.
Warren's Tommy Too - Stretches out around 2-turns for the first time; Jorge Gutierrez adds blinkers on for this.
Long Shot - Warren's Juan
Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), $100,000 Las Cienegas Handicap, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Gotta Have Her - A hillside course specialist must always be respected; should have won the BC Turf Sprint except for traffic.
Czechers - Explosive early speed makes her a dangerous foe; will be aided by the turf rail out 8 feet.
Long Shot - Annihilation
Race 5 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Warren's Moon - Rafael Bejarano remains loyal despite 3 close losses; shorter distance can only help, I think.
Back Nine Doc - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; her race at Del Mar can win it.
Long Shot - Make It Mine
Race 6 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 3-year-olds
S C Song Girl - Picture Mike Smith on lone early speed; stretches out 2-turns and tries turf for the first time.
Tashzara - Logical chalk just missed winning her U.S. debut; suspect she'll move forward or will she Euro-bounce.
Long Shot - Triple Cream
Race 7 - 6 furlongs, Purse $12,000, Starter allowance $8,000, 4-year-olds and up
Scottish Diamond - Reclaimed by Jeff Mullins, the strongest trainer angle in handicapping; can bounce right back.
Orientation Hall - Has been a win machine since claimed by Jim Barnes; tactical speed to sit a nice trip.
Long Shot - No Grande
Race 8 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $48,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up
Kalookan Storm - You want a price, try first time Avila-Berrio; look who he chased in last, Compari and Enriched.
Top Feeling - Favorite is moving up the class ladder so it's untested ground; there are some hard knockers in here.
Long Shot - Gold Aly
Race 9 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Lady Adelle - Lost all chance at the start in last; her race 2 back, if repeated, will win this by daylight.
Dubai Macau Girl - Howard Zucker adds blinkers on and Joel Rosario for the money shot; took a lot of betting in last;
Long Shot - Rahy's Ruler
Best Bet - Gotta Have Her (race 4)
