Post Time 1:20 p.m.
Race 1 - 1 1/16th miles (turf), Purse $61,000, Allowance, 4-year-olds and up
Tybalt - Part of uncoupled Bobby Frankel entry that appears to have this 5-pack over a barrel; Rafael Bejarano gets this one.
Heroi Do Bafra - Ran extremely well in defeat in the Inglewood at 11/1 odds; he has hinted at more, but has not done better.
Long Shot - Knockout Artist
Race 2 - 6 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Sweet Roseman - Won for $25k for Frank Monteleone and now is dropped in class; key for me is Victor Espinoza remains loyal.
Spanish Heat - Has chased Sweet Roseman two races ago, she too is taking a big class drop; looks who is riding her, Bejarano.
Long Shot - Elsie Jo
Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles (turf), Purse $53,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds
Kilderry - Logical chalk gets the meet leading rider Bejarano; just missed last time and is now facing an easier group.
Meer Kat - I know the connections like him a lot, but he has badly underachieved; freshened 7-weeks, is well spotted to win.
Long Shot - Guts
Race 4 - 5 furlongs, Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds
Silar Rules - Leap of faith that her bullet workout two back is an indicator of her ability; homebred for J. Paul Reddam.
Irish Gypsy - Tepid chalk in a race full of unknowns, there are 7 FTS; Bob Baffert is winning more here than in Arcadia.
Long Shot - Turtle Creek Babe
Race 5 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $24,000, Claiming $20,000, 4-year-olds and up
Sorta Gold - Even effort last time facing better; third start off a 2-month hiatus could be an improvement, like Joel Rosario.
Frankelstein - Red flag drop from a tough allowance to facing $20k claimers; Marty Jones may win the purse, lose the horse.
Long Shot - Fantastic Meeting
Race 6 - 7 furlongs, Purse $51,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Chosen Royalty - Sorry for picking so much chalk, but that's the way it looks; exits a stakes for a first level allowance.
Chocolate Lava - Better than looked effort in last when attending a hot pace and held well; second start off a 7-month hiatus.
Long Shot - Two Time Won
Race 7 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $36,000, Claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up
The Big One - If Tybalt wins the first race, keep a good eye on this rail horse; will save all the ground for Martin Pedroza.
Potential - In such a wide open race, you need to include Bejarano, especially on the race favorite; be part of the mix.
Long Shot - Westerly Magic
Race 8 - 1 5/8th miles, $100,000 Gallant Man Handicap, 3-year-olds and up
Big Booster - The longer they go, the more this old guy likes it; another successful claim by Mitchell, be along in time.
Tissy Fit - Won off the claim by John Sadler, is aggressively placed, and for good reason; respect a strong Sadler entry.
Long Shot - Jade's Revenge
Race 9 - 6 furlongs (turf), Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
Premium Quality - Reunited with the Mig who rode him to his best finish two back; tries turf for the first time.
British Medium - Has shown promise in two starts, both well spaced apart; he may have issues but has shown ability.
Long Shot - Magna Cum Laude
Best Bet - Big Booster (race 8)
