4 I’m No Patsy - Has shown some improvement in her last 2 starts; facing a very slow group in this bottom level class.

2 Kylee’s Star - Finished well in last despite a non-threatening second; will not face an easier test unless it’s in Phoenix.

Long Shot - 5 The Mothership

Race 2 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

2 Clearly Confused - Has cashed a couple paychecks since claimed by Robertino Diodoro; like that Joe Talamo remains loyal.

1 Chila Ali - Exits a big graduation win, albeit 9 months ago; has had 5 workouts for return, which might be enough.

Long Shot - 5 Best by Far

Race 3 - 1 mile, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

2 The Admiral - Bob Baffert won 3 races on opening day; suspect it’s a signal his barn is ready to run roughshod this meeting.

3 Cool Samurai - Excellent debut at Belmont Park; now tries first time with Lasix and the stable rider Mike Smith.

Long Shot - 1 Rough Passage

Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Claiming $10,000, 3-year-olds and up

7 Half Dome Dude - Was overmatched in last, now drops to a class with his friends; tactical speed to sit a decent trip.

4 Truelee Scrappin - Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low class; now or never or heading to Phoenix, Arizona.

Long Shot - 1 Dunmore East

Race 5 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), Purse $56,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

6 Van Dien Avenue - Was overmatched facing winners in last two starts; returns to MSW company and the great Gary Stevens rides.

8 Autumn View - Tepid chalk ran OK in return off a 17-month hiatus; she’s run faster races in the past to come back too.

Long Shot - 9 Tickle Again

5 Chitu - Nice debut win for Bob Baffert, now takes the next logical step; unknown how high the ceiling is for this one.

3 Papa Turf - Broke his MSW at Santa Anita, a career best race by miles; ran better than looked in a Hollywood Prevue effort.

Long Shot - 4 Beach Hut

Race 7 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

5 Kathleen Rose - Has really come to pass since joining the Mike Machowsky barn; now facing winners for the first time.

2 Krazypapaya - Found a winning level at Turf Paradise in last; returns to Santa Anita to face Cal-bred foes, mainly her kind.

Long Shot - 3 Warren’s Rosebud

Race 8 - 1 mile, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 2-year-olds

6 Papa’s Paisley - Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low class; back with Martin Pedroza for the money shot.

7 Still Unbroken - Experiment with blinkers on in last did not go well; Steve Miyadi takes them off and adds Brice Blanc.
