INTERNET ONLY: Chaparral blanks Mojave in boys soccer

Mike Mota scored three goals to help Chaparral to an 11-0 win over Mojave in boys soccer on Wednesday.

David Lopez, Rafael Castillo, Ruben Lopez, Oscar Moller, Martin Rojas, Luis Zavala, Cesar Canseco and Edwin Escobar each added a goal. Luis Vidal was credited with the shutout.

At Coronado, the Cougars and Bishop Gorman played to a 1-1 tie.

Gorman’s Adam Knaff and Coronado’s Arthur Hakobyan had the goals.

At Eldorado, Rene Ardon scored three goals to lead the Sundevils to a 4-2 victory over Cheyenne.

Josh Cormier also scored for Eldorado.

Frank Barnes and Daniel Sanchez each had a goal for Cheyenne.

At Las Vegas, Joaquin Rivas scored two goals, and Jose Camacho and Chris Millette each added one as the Wildcats defeated Cimarron-Memorial 4-1.

Chad Rigler scored for the Spartans.

At Silverado, Rene Abrego and Esau Salazar each scored a first-half goal as the Skyhawks shut out Western 2-0.

Goalie Joey Mora recorded the shutout for Silverado, and Kyle Mellies had an assist.

At Del Sol, Fabian Melchor scored two goals, and teammate Gustavo Lanares supplied both assists as the Dragons downed Spring Valley 2-0.

Evan Fast had the shutout for Del Sol.

At Green Valley, the Gators held off Clark 3-2.

Ben Shields, Tim Shue and Mitch Anderson scored Green Valley’s goals.

Angelo Soro and Salvador Bernal each scored for the Chargers.

At Desert Pines, Max Garcia scored two goals and Alex Benuelos one as the Mustangs downed the Jaguars 3-1.

Ernesto Corona scored for Desert Pines.

At Valley, Palo Verde’s Vincent Lara scored two goals as the Panthers got by the Vikings 3-2.

Ari Phillips added a goal for Palo Verde. Jorge Garcia-Robles and Emanuel Rivera each ha a goal for Valley.

At Tech, Esteban Corona scored two goals, including the game-winner midway through the second half, in a 2-1 win over Bonanza.

Chad Smith had Bonanza’s goal.

At Liberty, Matthew Boghos earned the shutout as Durango defeated Liberty 2-0.

At Foothill, Andrew Fontein made 13 saves to help Sierra Vista blank the Falcons 4-0.

Jorge Orozco, Igor Pavlovic, Luis Monarrez and Ruben Ovakimian each scored for the Lions, who were outshot 13-6.

At Rancho, Centennial overcame a one-goal halftime deficit to post a 3-1 win.

Jake Swanson, Julio Figueroa and Mike Conley scored for Centennial.

Manuro Diaz scored the Rams’ goal.

At Canyon Springs, Christian Rodriguez had three goals to lead Legacy to a 5-0 win.

Andrew Salazar and Francesco Escobar also scored for Legacy.

Edwin Cisneros had three saves for Legacy to get the shutout.

At Basic, Roberto Valdez scored two goals as the Wolves beat Arbor View 4-1.

Sergio Rodriguez and Edgar Arimendez each added a goal for Basic. Jonathon Mayorga scored for Arbor View.

At The Meadows, Ryan Struve scored the winning goal midway through the second half in Boulder City’s 2-1 win.

Charlie Correalas also scored for Boulder City. Alex Karabachev had The Meadows’ goal.
