INTERNET ONLY: Mojave edges Western in boys volleyball

Tony Vaz had 16 kills and Alex Montgomery 15 to lead Mojave's boys volleyball team to a 20-25, 25-16, 25-20, 24-26, 15-10 road win over Western on Thursday.

Nick McCorry added five kills and two aces for the Rattlers. Phillip Payne led Western in kills with 19.

Bonanza 3, Shadow Ridge 0 -- At Bonanza, Scott Davis had nine kills and 15 blocks and Jesse Mackay 30 assists and 15 digs as the Bengals knocked off the Mustangs 25-16, 25-19, 25-22.

Jake Phuet added 22 digs for Bonanza.

Sierra Vista 3, Silverado 1 -- At Sierra Vista, Joe White had 16 kills and 10 blocks to help lead the Lions to a 25-23, 25-12, 27-29, 25-22 victory over the Skyhawks.

Zach Waldron had seven blocks and 41 assists and Josh McLain 10 kills and six digs for Sierra Vista.

Trevik Jenkins had seven kills and eight digs, R.J. Miranda six kills and four digs and Nick McArthur-Reynolds 11 assists, six aces and nine digs for Silverado.

Centennial 3, Spring Valley 0 -- At Spring Valley, Matt Kurtz had eight kills and four aces to lead the Bulldogs past the Grizzlies 25-12, 25-13, 25-12.

Drew Staker added eight kills for Centennial. Erick James had six kills and five blocks for Spring Valley.

Rancho 3, Liberty 0 -- At Liberty, Kevin Wadsworth had 27 assists and Steve Cuervas 15 digs to lead the Rams over the Patriots 25-18, 25-17, 25-9.

Antonio Boucher had eight kills for Rancho. Jamie Acayan led Liberty in kills with five.

Arbor View 3, Valley 0 -- At Valley, Matt Ward had 32 assists and three kills and Zack Reese nine kills and four aces to lead the Aggies over the Vikings 25-20, 25-17, 25-18.

Nathan Stuart had 11 kills for Arbor View. Jimmy Videauz-Deaguila had 12 assists, two blocks and two kills for Valley.

Desert Pines 3, Del Sol 1 -- At Del Sol, the Jaguars got 25 assists from Jose De La Cruz in their 25-17, 22-25, 25-16, 25-20 win over the Dragons.

Paul Burns added 17 kills and Charlie Smith 12 kills for Desert Pines. Dane Gunter had 23 assists for the Dragons.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Durango 0 -- At Durango, Scott Beckwith had 10 kills and two aces and Triton Manumaleuna six kills and seven digs to lead the Spartans over the Trailblazers 25-18, 25-16, 25-23.

Taylor Sorensen added 15 assists for Cimarron. Darren Torrie had 18 assists and three kills and Frank Kiel 10 kills for the Trailblazers.

Canyon Springs 3, Legacy 1 -- At Canyon Springs, Ray Estevez had 30 assists and Nate Lewis eight kills as the Pioneers defeated the Longhorns 25-13, 25-14, 23-25, 25-9.

Stevan Leavitt had 11 assists and Brandon Paquin eight blocks for Legacy.

Tech 3, Eldorado 0 -- At Tech, Antonio Garcia had seven kills and nine blocks to lead the Roadrunners to a 25-22, 25-23, 25-21 victory over the Sundevils.

Cesar Fontenelli had 15 assists for Tech.

Bishop Gorman 3, Foothill 0 -- At Bishop Gorman, Chris Pitaro had 23 assists to lead the Gaels to a 25-20, 25-18, 25-22 win over the Falcons.

Jake Houser had 11 kills and Bobby Houser nine for Gorman.

Clark 3, Cheyenne 1 -- At Clark, Ryan Martin had eight kills and Carlo Desantis five kills and two blocks as the Chargers defeated the Desert Shields 25-18, 25-22, 18-25, 25-17.

Vitto Beltran added four kills and five blocks and Aaron Tsui 14 assists, two blocks and three aces for Clark.

Basic 3, Chaparral 0 -- At Chaparral, Jensen Lavallee had 12 kills and six aces to lead the Wolves past the Cowboys 25-7, 25-15, 32-30.

Las Vegas 3, Green Valley 0 -- At Green Valley, Jon Dugan had 17 kills and 21 digs and Danny Farias 35 assists as the Wildcats beat the Gators 25-10, 28-26, 25-21.

Chris Mortensen led Green Valley in kills with nine.
