Kris Bryant’s amazing season now has its own Twitter hashtag

To commemorate the Roy Hobbs-ian numbers Kris Bryant is putting up at Double-A Tennessee this season, the team down there has started a Twitter hashtag called #KrisBryantFacts.

Fans have been using the hashtag to post little-known “facts” about the former Bonanza High slugger, most of which are made up. I think. The way Bryant has been hitting the ball, sometimes it’s hard to separate fact from fiction.

To wit:

— 2/3 of the earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by Kris Bryant’s home run balls #KrisBryantFacts

— Kris Bryant killed three birds with one stone. And then killed two stones with one bird. #KrisBryantFacts @krisbryant_23

— The #Cubs & rooftop owners unanimously agree on the renovation and have a large group hug after seeing Bryant hit a HR #KrisBryantfacts

— Kris Bryant walks into Mordor #KrisBryantFacts @smokiesbaseball

— @IAmPettigrew @smokiesbaseball @KrisBryant_23 He once arm wrestled the Hulk, the loser had to paint himself green. #KrisBryantFacts

— Kris Bryant & Superman fought each other on a bet. The loser had to start wearing his underwear on the outside of his pants #KrisBryantFacts

— When @KrisBryant_23 looks in the mirror he has no reflection, there’s only one Kris Bryant. #KrisBryantFacts

— Kris Bryant could probably beat up Chuck Norris, but largely because Chuck Norris is 74-years-old. #KrisBryantFacts

— Kris Bryant doesn’t always hit home runs, but when he does … Wait no he always hits homeruns #krisbryantfacts

That last one is only a slight exaggeration.

Bryant already has hit 22 home runs this season. (The next-most in the Southern League is 13.) He’s batting .355 and has driven in 58 runs and leads the Southern League in all three triple crown categories. As well as a bunch of other categories.

Bryant bombed 16 home runs over three rounds to win Monday night’s Southern League home run derby held in conjunction with the league’s all-star game at Engel Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn.

That’s an actual Kris Bryant fact.

And no, Chuck Norris wasn’t pitching B.P.
