Lady Rebels handed worst loss of season, 79-49

The UNLV women’s basketball team suffered its worst loss of the season Saturday, falling to Boise State 79-49 in a Mountain West game at Boise, Idaho.

The Lady Rebels (9-12, 6-3 MW) shot only 30.6 percent from the field (15 of 49) and committed 21 turnovers. The Broncos (12-8, 7-2) hit 48.4 percent (30 of 62) of their shots and were 12 of 28 on 3-pointers (42.9 percent).

Reserve Rejane Verin had 11 of her game-high 17 points in the second half for UNLV, and point guard Mia Bell scored 10 but had five turnovers and no assists. Five Boise State players scored in double figures.
