Las Vegan Quontez McRath reaches Golden Gloves final

One Team Nevada boxer advanced to the finals of the Golden Gloves National Tournament of Champions, while another was eliminated in the semifinals Friday night at LVH.

Las Vegan Quontez McRath advanced to today’s final round with a 4-1 decision over Reyes Marquez of Colorado/New Mexico in a 152-pound bout. McRath will face Samuel Valentin of Team Florida today.

Adrian Servin was eliminated from the 108-pound bracket in a 5-0 loss to Christian Carto of Team Pennsylvania.

All final-round bouts will be tonight at LVH, beginning at 7 p.m.
