■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Cashman Field, D.J. Mitchell worked around six hits and five walks to pitch six scoreless innings in helping the 51s (27-26) to their first shutout of the season and third straight victory. ... They are over .500 for the first time since May 12. ... Right fielder Jamie Hoffmann blasted a fifth-inning grand slam and totaled five RBIs. ... Collin Cowgill hit a solo home run in the first inning to open the scoring and finished 3-for-3. ... Defending Triple-A and Pacific Coast League champion Reno fell to 21-35. ... The 51s finished their eight-game homestand 6-2.
