Lippincott lifts UNR over Utah State

LOGAN, Utah -- Luke Lippincott rushed for 241 yards and two touchdowns to lead UNR past winless Utah State 31-28 on Saturday.

Colin Kaepernick threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns for the Wolf Pack (3-4, 1-2 Western Athletic Conference). Kaepernick put UNR ahead for good with a 32-yard touchdown pass to Mike McCoy with 7:18 left.

Kevin Robinson returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown for Utah State (0-7, 0-3), breaking the school record with his fourth career punt return score.

Leon Jackson III passed for 106 yards and rushed for 51 yards and two touchdowns for the Aggies, who lost their 13th straight game.

The Aggies had a chance to retake the lead when Robinson returned the kickoff after McCoy's TD to the UNR 39-yard line. But Utah State couldn't get a first down and had to punt.
