Mariners manager has absolute meltdown after being ejected

Former Mariners manager Lou Piniella would be proud of current Seattle skipper Lloyd McClendon’s meltdown following his ejection from Tuesday’s Mariners-Yankees game.
After Seattle catcher Mike Zunino was ejected for arguing that Alex Rodriguez went around — and didn’t check his swing on a 3-2 pitch as first base umpire Will Little ruled in the third inning — McClendon stormed out of the dugout to confront Little.
After quickly getting tossed, McClendon threw his hat and then made his way around the infield to argue with the remaining umps.
While the meltdown didn’t match Piniella’s classic hat-kicking performances, McClendon turned in a worthy effort.
For your viewing pleasure, here are five epic manager meltdowns, including Piniella and our own Las Vegas 51s manager Wally Backman.
