Mayweather’s spending got ‘crazier and crazier’

A new book about boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. provides rare insider details on how he’s blowing through his fortune.

Trusting a con man cost Mayweather $15 million, according to the new tell-all book by a high-ranking aide.

A middle man known as “Three Comma Joe” disappeared with the money that was to be turned into $5 billion, writes Tasha Robinson-White in “Right Hand to the Champ.”

It is no secret that luxury cars and strippers are among Mayweather’s weaknesses.

“When he bought me my Mercedes, the dealer told me that was the 33rd Mercedes-Benz Floyd had bought from them,” she told the London Daily Mail.

“Then he’d fly us around on private jets. I’ve seen him drop $1-2 million on pieces of jewelry. It got crazier and crazier,” said Robinson-White.

She worked as Mayweather’s assistant for 12 years, leaving in 2009.

Mayweather enjoys taking care of his friends, bodyguards and strangers, she said.

In 2008, he rented out a shuttered Las Vegas strip club to throw a party for friends, including rapper T.I.

“He’d even stop strangers in the store and buy them clothes or take care of their tab at the counter,” she said.

Dozens of professional strippers would be flown in from around country to take part in his “Mayweather weekends,” with a first prize of $100,000.

He wanted everyone to go home with cash, so he’d go up on a balcony and toss $10,000 to $20,000 at a time, Robinson-White said.

Another time he tossed $100,000 around at a strip club.

Mayweather didn’t like dealing with credit cards, so he would go to a bank with a large duffel bag and stuff it so full his staff referred to it as the “pregnant duffel.”

When he led a caravan of high-end cars, he would have the duffel bag in the front with him, and his friends in the back.

KENO MEETS THE MAYOR

The first one is on Wednesday when Mayor Carolyn Goodman will preside over a ceremonial fire hydrant dedication in honor of Keno, who will be Nevada’s first participant in the Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl on Feb. 1, Super Bowl Sunday.

The public is invited. Puparazzi are expected at the event, which will be held at the intersection of Clark Avenue and First Street.

Joining the mayor and Keno will be representatives of the Nevada SPCA.

The Puppy Bowl telecast begins at noon.
