May 7, 2016 - 9:58 am
A pair of championship fights headline Saturday night’s Invicta Fighting Championships card in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Tonya Evinger will defend her bantamweight title on the all-female organization’s 17th card against Colleen Schneider. Also, undefeated strawweight champion Livia Renata Souza will defend her title against Angela Hill.
Evinger has won eight straight fights and has two knockouts and two submissions in her last four appearances.
Souza has only been taken the distance once in her nine career fights. The 25-year-old Brazilian has recorded seven submission victories and a knockout.
Hill and Schneider both appeared on “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show, though Schneider lost an elimination fight that would have moved her into the house.
The event will stream on UFC Fight Pass at 6 p.m.
