Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight contender Stipe Miocic suffered an injury during training and has been forced to withdraw from a bout against Ben Rothwell scheduled for a card in Dublin on Oct. 24.
Both fighters have won four of their last five bouts and the winner would have been in the mix for a potential title shot in 2016.
A representative for the UFC said the organization is exploring options for a potential replacement opponent for Rothwell.
The card, which will be streamed exclusively on the organization's online platform Fight Pass, is expected to be headlined by a lightweight bout between Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier.
