Kyle Busch won’t race Daytona 500 after leg injury
Kyle Busch will not be racing in the Daytona 500 this weekend after injuring his right leg in a high-impact crash Saturday.
Busch crashed into an interior concrete wall during an Xfinity Series race, ESPN reports.
The driver was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center, and racing officials say Busch was awake and alert at the hospital.
Busch, a veteran Sprint Cup driver from Las Vegas, was slated to start fourth in Sunday’s Daytona 500.
A replacement driver has not yet been identified.
