Panthers rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen had a season-best 107.1 passer rating in last week’s 19-12 home victory over Arizona but easily remains the worst-ranked QB in the league with a JaMarcus Russell-like 59.1 mark. Clausen is 1-7 in eight starts (3-5 ATS).

• ANALYSIS: The Steelers, who have the league’s third-rated defense and are yielding a league-low 3.0 yards per rush, get to face a first-year QB who slipped below the passer-rating Mendoza line with a 29.7 reading the last time he faced a top-10 defense.
