The striper bite is good. Anglers are finding fast action outside of Government Wash. The fish aren’t large but the numbers are good. Anglers are finding the bigger fish near Boulder Beach, but more people as well. Live shad are the most productive bait option when they are available, but Kastmasters with bucktails, Rat’l Traps and pencil poppers also are catching fish.
Unsettled weather conditions and cold temperatures associated with recent storm activity has provided waterfowl hunters with good wing shooting in recent days at both the Key Pittman and Overton Wildlife Management Areas.
