Palo Verde goes 3-0 in tournament

Mikala Pride scored 27 points Friday to lead Palo Verde's girls to a 50-32 victory over host Silverado in the Skyhawk Jamboree.

Britney Stanley added 10 points for the Panthers, who went 3-0 on the day.

Jessica Schmidt led the Skyhawks with 15 points.

Palo Verde 57, Cimarron-Memorial 54 -- At Silverado, Pride had 21 points to help the Panthers edge the Spartans.

Stanley added 18 points for Palo Verde, which survived a late run by Cimarron.

Catherine Wyre and Precious Carroll each scored 15 points for the Spartans, who outscored the Panthers 23-11 in the fourth quarter.

Palo Verde 49, Valley 24 -- At Silverado, Stanley scored 22 points as the Panthers rolled past the Vikings.

Rachael Zimmerman led Valley with 12 points.

Eldorado 59, Western 52 -- At Silverado, Tonisha McGee scored 20 points as the Sundevils edged the Warriors.

Princess Jervis added 17 points for Eldorado, which used a 15-7 third quarter to take control. Melonic Russell paced the Warriors with 18 points.

Basic 46, Arbor View 8 -- At Silverado, Kayla Masarik had 15 points as the Wolves rolled past the Aggies.

Arbor View had just one point in the final three quarters.

Silverado 57, Valley 44 -- At Silverado, Schmidt had 22 points to help the Skyhawks defeat the Vikings.

Mikayla Thielges added 17 points for Silverado.

Vanessa Corona led Valley with 16 points.

Basic 53, Western 44 -- At Silverado, Michaela Thomas had 15 points as the Wolves beat the Warriors.

Basic used a 15-4 third-quarter run to take control.

Basic 48, Eldorado 44 -- At Silverado, the Wolves outscored the Sundevils 22-13 in the fourth quarter to get the win.

Eldorado's Jervis had a game-high 15 points.

Eldorado 64, Arbor View 24 -- At Silverado, McGee and Sabrina Evans each had 14 points as the Sundevils rolled to victory.

Silverado 52, Cimarron-Memorial 45 -- At Silverado, Schmidt and Natalie Lainhart each had 16 points to lead the Skyhawks.

Cimarron's Wyre led all scorers with 20 points.

Cimarron-Memorial 47, Valley 44 -- At Silverado, Wyre had 14 points and Karyn Turner scored 10 to lead the Spartans.

Vanessa Corona and Nicholett Corona had 14 and 13 points for the Vikings.

Western 94, Arbor View 32 -- At Silverado, the Warriors placed five players in double figures in the rout.

Mojave 56, Rancho 37 -- At Mojave, Chelsea Hopkins and Aujanee Armstrong each scored 16 points as the Rattlers downed the Rams.

Mojave outscored Rancho 37-17 in the second half. Khalia Branch led the Rams with 11 points.

Green Valley 85, Canyon Springs 34 -- At Centennial Hills YMCA, Victoria Naylor had a triple-double with 21 points, 12 assists and 10 steals to lead the Gators over the Pioneers in the LasVegasHoops.com Tip-Off Classic.

Jazmine Jarvis scored 19 points and Danielle Christenson 15 for Green Valley, which led 48-16 at halftime.

Green Valley 68, Bonanza 58 -- At Centennial Hills YMCA, Naylor had 24 points and Jarvis 21 to help the Gators to the win.

Christenson added 12 points for Green Valley.

Laura Nelson had 17 points and Tara Novak 16 to lead Bonanza.

Bonanza 60, Legacy 29 -- At Centennial Hills YMCA, Jill Gentile had 14 points and Christin Figgins and Novak each scored 13 to lead the Bengals.

Kindrea Poole scored 11 points for the Longhorns.

Legacy 2, Canyon Springs 41 -- At Centennial Hills YMCA, Poole had 22 points to help the Longhorns defeat the Pioneers.

BOYS

Del Sol 72, Chaparral 62 -- At Chaparral, Jeff Coon scored nine of his game-high 17 points in the third quarter to help the Dragons defeat the Cowboys.

Coon had two 3-pointers in the third as Del Sol outscored Chaparral 26-10 to take a 49-39 lead. Maurice Lawson added 15 points, and Tim Lawson scored 13 for Del Sol.

Tyler Bryant led Chaparral with 14 points.

Las Vegas 46, Basic 39 -- At Basic, Tony Eakles scored 18 points to lead the Wildcats over the Wolves.

Josh Ross scored 12 points to pace Basic, which missed 9 of 13 free throws.

Mojave 82, Rancho 56 -- At Mojave, Anthony Marshall had 28 points and 10 rebounds as the Rattlers defeated the Rams.

Alvin Jackson scored 11 points and Darian Norris 10 for Mojave.
