Palo Verde swimmer Goldsmith collects 10 medals at Maccabiah Games
Palo Verde High sophomore Isabella Goldsmith captured seven gold, two silver and one bronze medal in girls’ age 13-16 swimming in the recent Maccabiah Games. The games, often referred to as the “Jewish Olympics,” are held every four years in Israel.
Goldsmith, the Nevada state champion in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100 breaststroke last season, will compete for the Las Vegas Sandpipers in the Junior National Championships next week in Irvine, Calif.
