Round Rock rides six-run inning to victory over 51s

Andrew Locke hit a three-run triple to cap a six-run third inning against 51s starter Marty McLeary, sparking the Round Rock Express to a 9-6 victory in the Pacific Coast League on Monday at Round Rock, Texas.
The Express (20-24) took a 7-2 lead with their big inning, getting five hits, two walks and two 51s errors, including a botched pickoff attempt by McLeary.
McLeary (0-3) allowed six hits and seven earned runs in his three-inning stint. He allowed a solo home run to Jason Castro in the second.
The 51s (19-26) trimmed the deficit to 7-6 with a four-run fifth, getting a two-run homer by Jarrett Hoffpauir and a two-run double by Brian Dopirak.
J.P. Arencibia supplied three hits to the 51s' 14-hit attack, and Luis Figueroa, Brett Wallace and Aaron Mathews had two apiece.
The teams play the second game of the four-game series at 5:05 p.m. today.
