Sierra Vista rallies past Durango, 9-8

Sierra Vista rallied for seven runs in the final three innings to post a 9-8 softball victory over visiting Durango on Thursday.

Amelia McIntosh's two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning capped the rally. Kristin Delahoussaye hit a two-run homer in the sixth to tie the score at 7, and Andrea McIntosh and Desiree Laswell scored the final two runs in the seventh to secure the victory.

Amelia McIntosh was 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs for the Lions. Jaexie Balilea went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs for the Trailblazers.

Palo Verde 5, Cheyenne 2 -- At Palo Verde, Brittany Martin went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs to lead the Panthers over the Desert Shields.

Lauren Stover was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for Palo Verde. Winning pitcher Michaela Sandoval threw a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts.

Valley 8, Rancho 5 -- At Morgan Park, Lorena Villamar was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Vikings over the Rams.

Villamar got the victory, allowing four hits in seven innings.

Arbor View 12, Chaparral 1 -- At Chaparral, Chelsea Venable went 3-for-4 with a triple to lead the Aggies to a five-inning victory.

Amanda Jones pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts to get the win.

Las Vegas 5, Eldorado 4 -- At Las Vegas, the Wildcats scored three runs in the third to take a 4-2 lead, then held on.

Renae Gliddon's two-run single highlighted the third for Las Vegas. Marian Freiburger was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Eldorado.

Spring Valley 7, Bonanza 2 -- At Spring Valley, Taylor Gilliland pitched a complete game with five strikeouts and went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI to lead the Grizzlies over the Bengals.

Ryann Schleiker went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run, and teammate Tyiama Turner went 2-for-4 with two runs for Spring Valley.

Bishop Gorman 15, Western 6 -- At Western, Claudia Franco went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs as the Gaels defeated the Warriors.

Danielle Whitworth and Allison Vitangeli each went 3-for-5 with four RBIs for Gorman. Western's Coleen Montes was 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Canyon Springs 16, Desert Pines 1 -- At Desert Pines, Jessica Guerra pitched a three-hitter with five strikeouts to lead the Pioneers past the Jaguars.

Shelby Smitley was 5-for-5 for Canyon Springs.

Faith Lutheran 7-10, Boulder City 5-7 -- At Faith Lutheran, Jessie Tracy pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts in the first game and went 4-for-4 with three doubles in the second as the Crusaders swept the Eagles.

Faith Lutheran's Angie Miller went 5-for-8 with five runs in the two games. Tracy doubled in the first game and got a save in the second.

Mountain View 14, The Meadows 2 -- At The Meadows, Valencia Casey pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs to lead the Saints over the Mustangs.

Mountain View's Kaitlin Glover was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs, and teammate Randall Van Kempen went 3-for-5 with two runs.
