Streeter, Pilots topple Gorman

Once Findlay Prep’s boys basketball team got into its transition offense Saturday, there was no stopping the Pilots.

That it took almost three full quarters, though, is a credit to Bishop Gorman.

The Pilots used that transition game to take a 78-66 road win over Gaels to remain undefeated.

The game was tied at 30 at halftime before Findlay Prep pulled away behind Jacques Streeter, who scored 25 points.

Curtis Dennis added 16 points for the Pilots.

Gorman’s Kylel Coleman matched Streeter with 25 points, hitting three 3-pointers and going 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.

Quintin Dailey added 16 points for the Gaels.

Arbor View 71, Sierra Vista 43 — At Sierra Vista, Darington Banks scored 13 points in a 27-7 third-quarter run to lift the Aggies.

Banks finished with 24 points. Nick Galtney added 14 points for Arbor View, which led 23-18 at halftime.

Josh McLain had 12 points for Sierra Vista, and teammate Cameron Jefferson added 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Lake Mead 80, Laughlin 28 — At Lake Mead, Jason Stewart had 23 points as the Eagles routed the Cougars.

Alex Mayorga added 15 points for Lake Mead, which outscored Laughlin 56-14 in the middle two quarters.

West Wendover 81, The Meadows 66 — At West Wendover, Brandon Houston had 33 points to lead the Wolverines.

Graham Hilts scored 24 points to lead the Mustangs, who got as close as six points in the fourth quarter.

Pahranagat Valley 52, Mountain View 35 — At Mountain View, Brady Whipple had 24 points to lead the Panthers.

Brandon Carr scored 14 points to spark the Saints, who led 20-15 after one quarter.

Trinity 58, Calvary Chapel 36 — At Trinity, Daveron Ross had 16 points to lead the Thunder over the Lions.

GIRLS

Sierra Vista 47, Arbor View 14 — At Sierra Vista, the Lions jumped to a 20-0 lead after one quarter and rolled.

Brianna Tolliver led a balanced attack with eight points for the Lions.

Erika Lang scored 12 for the Aggies.

Mountain View 59, Pahranagat Valley 55 — At Mountain View, Kristi Elles was 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in overtime to lift the Saints.

Ellie Markwardt had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead Mountain View. Elles and Randall Van Kempen each had 16 points and Megan Smith 12 rebounds for the Saints.

Lake Mead 43, Laughlin 16 — At Lake Mead, Jenna Willis had 17 points, five rebounds and five assists to spark the Eagles.

Christina Cortes had nine rebounds for Lake Mead.

Trinity 24, Calvary Chapel 18 — At Trinity, Christin Downing had 10 points and 11 rebounds to lift the Thunder over the Lions.
