■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Tacoma, Wash., Rich Poythress homered, doubled and had three RBIs, Dustin Ackley hit a two-run homer and Carlos Peguero added a solo shot as Pacific Coast League-leading Tacoma (37-24) broke the 51s’ season-high seven-game win streak. ... Brian Bixler was 2-for-3 for Las Vegas (31-27), which had seven hits in the opener of a home-and-home eight-game series against the Rainiers, the Seattle Mariners’ Triple-A affiliate. ... Kirk Nieuwenhuis doubled to lead off the game for the 51s and scored on Wilmer Flores’ groundout.
