UNLV women’s basketball team wins eighth straight over UNR

Alana Cesarz scored a game-high 20 points, and Mia Bell and Danielle Miller added 14 points apiece to lead UNLV to a 80-68 victory over UNR on Friday on Senior Night at Cox Pavilion.

Bell, a senior point guard from Durango High, also had 10 assists for her first career double-double and added four steals in her final regular-season home game for the Lady Rebels.

Senior Rmanii Haynes added 11 points, and Aley Rohde had eight points and eight rebounds for UNLV (12-18, 9-9 Mountain West), which had its 15-point halftime lead cut to two before responding with a 17-3 run to seal its eighth straight win over the Wolf Pack (17-12, 12-6).

Arielle Wideman scored a team-high 13 points for UNR, which made only 1 of 19 3-point attempts and 21 of 65 shots (32.3 percent) overall.

The Lady Rebels return to action Monday in the first round of the Mountain West Tournament at the Thomas & Mack Center.
