The UNLV women’s basketball team led No. 22 Oklahoma State by 10 points in the first half and trailed by one point at halftime.
But the Cowgirls (7-2) went on a 12-0 run early in the second half, and the Lady Rebels couldn’t recover in an 88-73 loss at Cox Pavilion in the title game of the Desert Draw.
Andrea Riley had 22 points and 10 assists for the Cowgirls.
Freshman Jamie Smith led UNLV (5-5) with 27 points and had 11 rebounds and five assists. India Chaney added 14 points, and Erica Helms had 11 points and eight assists.
