If not for the versatility of Rene Rougeau, UNLV would be a basketball team with a soft middle that is easily exposed.
Fifteen minutes after Monday’s practice, UNLV senior Wink Adams still was shooting jumpers. He was making most of them, too. “Constantly shooting,” Adams said when asked how he plans to emerge from one of the worst slumps of his career.
Preseason rankings are mostly meaningless, and UNLV senior guard Wink Adams readily acknowledges that. He also admits he watches the polls closely.
The UNLV basketball team reeled off its fourth consecutive Australia exhibition victory Tuesday, pounding the South West Metro Pirates 97-55 in Brisbane.
