Former UNLV player personnel director takes job at Fresno State

Former UNLV player personnel director Jimmy Morimoto has taken the same position at Mountain West football rival Fresno State.
Morimoto was with the Rebels under three coaches, first hired by Mike Sanford in 2007 as an assistant video coordinator before being elevated to assistant recruiting coordinator. He also was the right-hand man in recruiting for Bobby Hauck and current coach Tony Sanchez.
Sanchez, however, let Morimoto go before the season.
"We are really excited to add Jimmy to our staff," Fresno State coach Tim DeRuyter said in a statement. "He has tremendous experience recruiting not only the Mountain West, but the entire west coast that is our footprint. I think he'll be able to expand our footprint and get us in some recruiting areas that we previously have not been.
"He's a great family guy, has tremendous references and we look forward to him having a very successful career in helping us compete to win championships."
