Versatile Van Kempen ignites Saints’ win over Agassi Prep

Trevor Van Kempen did a whole lot of everything to lead Mountain View's football team to a 48-26 home victory over Agassi Prep on Saturday.
The Saints senior passed for 90 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 92 yards and a score, and caught three passes for 25 yards and a touchdown to help Mountain View (3-4, 2-2 2A Southern) pull away from a 19-18 second-quarter lead.
Van Kempen had an 11-yard scoring run and threw a 21-yard TD pass to Nick Jenkins in the first quarter, fired a 34-yard TD to Matthew Larson in the second and caught a 14-yard strike from Travis Wallace in the fourth.
Jacob Duldulao added touchdown runs of 14 and 6 yards, and Larson also scored on a 4-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Duldulao's first touchdown, followed by a 2-point conversion, gave the Saints a 27-18 halftime lead. They extended it to 48-18 before Armond Whitney's late 1-yard TD run for Agassi Prep ended the Saints' 29-point surge.
Terrell Kemp led the Stars (2-4, 2-2) with 95 yards on 10 carries, including touchdowns of 6 and 39. He also caught a 35-yard TD pass from Julian Leos.
