Wranglers fall to Grizzlies for fifth straight loss

Greg Coburn put the Wranglers ahead 1-0 with a power-play goal in the first period, but Las Vegas surrendered five unanswered goals the rest of the way in a 5-1 loss to the Utah Grizzlies before 4,185 on Saturday night at Orleans Arena.

Phil Mangan had a goal and two assists, David Vallorani had a goal and an assist and Igor Bobkov made 25 saves for Utah (22-17-7, 51 points), which scored three power-play goals and had one short-handed score.

Mitch O’Keefe stopped 26 of 31 shots for the Wranglers (11-28-5, 27), who have lost five straight and nine of 10. Las Vegas hosts Bakersfield at 2:05 p.m. today.
