Wranglers lose fourth straight, 5-3 to Steelheads

The Wranglers erased deficits of 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 before succumbing to Idaho on Friday night in a 5-3 ECHL loss before 4,564 at Orleans Arena.
Gaelan Patterson scored two third-period goals for the Steelheads (29-18-7, 65 points), putting them ahead 3-2 at 6:23 before beating Travis Fullerton (24 saves) for the decisive goal at 10:55.
Robbie Smith and Chris Francis each had a goal and an assist for Las Vegas (12-34-6, 30), which has lost four straight and 12 of 13.
Francis scored on the power play to tie the score 2-2 early in the second, and Smith made it 3-3 at 8:18 of the third.
David de Kastrozza had an unassisted, short-handed goal and two assists for Idaho, Tommy Grant had a goal and an assist, and William Rapuzzi added a goal with 2:24 left.
The teams meet again today at 7:05 p.m. in a game that will be televised by KVMY, Cox Cable Channel 12.
