The restaurant features Baja California-inspired cuisine, a line of signature Mezcal liquor, a Cigar Lounge and complimentary live entertainment. It also has two chef tables that seat 10 to 12 guests and an outdoor patio.

Islands Restaurants partners
with Children's Miracle Network

Islands fine burgers & drinks, 10810 W. Charleston Blvd., part of Islands Restaurants, has partnered with the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to create the Miracle Menu, with a goal of raising $100,000.

The menu features spinach and artichoke dip, the signature burger Big Wave with cheese and Kona Pie. For each item ordered, 10 percent will go toward the fundraising goal.

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is an international nonprofit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals, medical research and community awareness of children's health issues.

The menu will be available starting Saturday, which is National Hamburger Day, through June 12.

wine and cooking classes

Wine radio show host Les Kincaid and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas plan to present a series of wine and cooking classes from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on select dates in May.

Summer Salads is scheduled for today at the Ferguson Bath & Kitchen Gallery. Learn how to transform fresh vegetables and lettuce into dishes that are healthy, tasty and easy to prepare.

for Thursday at the Palazzo

The Las Vegas Epicurean Affair is scheduled for Thursday at The Pools at the Palazzo, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

The annual event is sponsored by the Nevada Restaurant Association (NvRA) and will feature samplings of cuisine and cocktails from restaurants and beverage purveyors. The Las Vegas Epicurean Affair package features a luxury suite at the Palazzo or The Venetian, two general admission tickets to the Affair, two-for-one well drinks at Salute Lounge, complimentary line pass/admission to LAVO nightclub and a buy-one-get-one-half-off ticket deal for a gondola ride.

Fleming's announces Prime Celebrations menu

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, 8721 W. Charleston Blvd., is offering a Prime Celebrations menu for $50 per guest or $100 per couple through June 30.

Appetizers (choice of one) are classic Caesar salad, Fleming's salad, The Wedge and chef's seasonal soup. Entrees (choice of one) are petite filet mignon, New York strip, double chicken breast and tuna mignon. Cheeburger cheeburger to celebrate Hamburger Month in May

Cheeburger Cheeburger, 8390 S. Rainbow Blvd., plans to mark National Hamburger Month in May by offering a buy-one-get-one-half-off deal on its 100 percent Angus beef burgers.

Cheeburger's Invent Your Own Taste menu allows patrons to select from five sizes of burger, 15 to 27 toppings and 10 types of cheese, all at no additional charge. Burgers are made fresh to order, and the menu includes fresh fries and onion rings. There are more than 150 different flavors of milkshakes, which patrons can add flavors and toppings to at no extra cost.

Raising Cane's locations to collect
cell Phones for soldiers

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers locations in the Las Vegas Valley will be collecting gently used mobile phones and donations for Cell Phones for Soldiers and local military members during May.

On Memorial Day, May 30, all of the profits and collected phones will be donated to Cell Phones for Soldiers, a nonprofit group dedicated to providing free calls home to U.S. armed forces. The USO, a nonprofit organization that works to life the spirits of America's troops and their families, plans to distribute calling cards through its Las Vegas center.

Fleming's adds new items to menu

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, 8721 W. Charleston Blvd., has introduced two new entree salads to its menu, reinvented the classic shrimp cocktail and lightened its scallop offering.

The menu now features the Steakhouse Cobb salad entree, the seared New Bedford scallops entree and a shrimp cocktail appetizer.

The Steakhouse Cobb salad features Maine lobster or filet mignon tossed with romaine lettuce, blue cheese, crisp bacon, tomato and avocado, along with white mushrooms and asparagus. The salad with lobster comes with tarragon ranch dressing, while the filet mignon option comes with signature red onion balsamic dressing.

The seared New Bedford scallops entree features four to five large scallops, lightly seasoned with a spice blend and finished with Meyer lemon oil-honey glaze. The entree is garnished with shaved young green beans, asparagus and baby carrots in lemon balsamic dressing.

The shrimp cocktail has three large fresh shrimp on a bed of crushed ice, served tableside with signature tomato horseradish sauce in a silver shaker. A touch of Grey Goose vodka is added before shaking.

Nove Italiano inside the Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road, is featuring a $7 small plates menu during its Thursday happy hour from 6 to 8 p.m.
