Acura of Las Vegas brings 2013 ILX to its showroom

For many years, Acura has been known for its ability to quickly meet a need in the automobile market. Never could that be more evident than the recent introduction of the 2013 Acura ILX, a luxury sedan priced from $26,700, now available at Acura of Las Vegas, 7000 W. Sahara Ave.

The ILX is sporty and has loads of power with 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine generating 150 horsepower. It delivers 35 miles to the gallon on the highway.

Among the first sales consultants to sell the ILX was Mary Weisbrod, who has been in the car business for 25 years.

"The ILX is luxury at a very affordable price point," Weisbrod said . "This is a vehicle where luxury service is provided at all times, both from the car itself and the dealership after the sale. Once people discover the ILX, you can bet that they will eventually be back for another Acura."

The 201 horsepower, 2.4-liter, inline four-cylinder model features a six-speed manual transmission.

"People who enjoy shifting will love the ILX because it has a very short throw," Weisbrod added. "This is a very easy car to shift; it's responsive, fun and provides great gas mileage."

Weisbrod added car owners looking to downsize will also buy the ILX.

Chris Biehl, a 13-year veteran of the car business , said the response has been strong.

"It's an affordable luxury that is bringing a whole new clientele into the Acura family," Biehl said. "This is just one more example of Acura's ability to meet the marketplace."

Biehl said the ILX also comes in a hybrid model.

"This is the Acura's first time ever into the hybrid market. The car gets 38 miles to the gallon combined with highway and city driving," Biehl said. "We expect the hybrid to be very successful especially considering the constant ups and downs of gas price now days.

"Acura has continually redefined the state-of-the-art, and the ILX is a great example of that," he said.
