Amazing animated elevator timelapse of New York skyline — VIDEO

We in Las Vegas are no strangers to extravagant elevators. Take a ride up the hotel towers of any casino on the Strip and you’ll see some really gorgeous claustrophobia-inducing designs.

However, it’s safe to say that the One World Trade Center elevator has us beat.

The elevator is covered in screen panels, and shows an animation of the growth of the New York skyline.

As visitors climb up, the years pass by, showing how New York City has changed in the decades since its inception. What’s even more amazing, is that it is seen from the perspective of the elevator passenger, acting as though it was simply a window.

Since not everyone can make the trip to New York to visit the One World Trade Center, we’re fortunate that the Internet can provide us a video of this amazing elevator ride.
