Baby steps back into health care
February 3, 2010 - 9:16 am
Democrats are taking small steps back into health care reform, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has scheduled a bill for next week to revoke the health insurance industry's long-held antitrust exemption.
Politico reports this morning Pelosi plans to take small bites into health reform, focusing, at least at first, on the pieces that are the most politically popular rather than the sweeping legislation that dominated much of last year on Capitol Hill.
Meanwhile in the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid is saying he hopes Democrats can decide by next week how to move forward on health care.
