Baltimore cop accused of spitting on handcuffed suspect — VIDEO
The Baltimore Police Department said it is investigating a video that purportedly shows a police officer spitting on a handcuffed suspect.
Although the footage is dark, about five seconds into the video you can see an officer standing over the man and jerking his head downward, City Paper reports. Shortly after, the crowd of onlookers start screaming, "He spit on him!"
The video, posted on Twitter by an activist named Kwame Rose, prompted T.J. Smith, Baltimore Police Department Director of Media Relations, to issue a statement stating that an internal investigation is underway.
The officer in the video has not been identified.
