Baseball fans unite!

Baseball’s winter meetings are under way at the Bellagio. It’s a real coup for Las Vegas to attract Major League Baseball’s annual meeting. It shows a sign that we are at least a legitimate convention city even if we’re not yet ready for big league sports.

It’s also a testament to the respect baseball’s owners have for Las Vegas 51s General Manager Don Logan, who knows everyone who is anyone in the game and has offered to package a deal to make Las Vegas a spring training site.

This is a no-brainer, people. The land should be donated, the bonds floated, to bring Las Vegas into the big-league picture.
