Bear breaks into Florida home, eats Easter candy
A Florida woman called 911 after she found a bear in her house eating Easter candy.
“He was making slobbering noises and bear noises,” Caroline Tidwell told NBC2.
When Tidwell heard furniture moving in her living room, she saw the bear and feared it was eating one of her cats, which were safe on top of a cabinet.
That’s when she said the bear was going after Easter chocolates in a bowl on the kitchen counter.
Tidwell said she yelled about the bear in her house and the commotion scared it away, but not before it stopped by a neighbor’s house.
“It went boom! I heard a boom sound. This is the first time this has happened. We’ve heard about it before, but frankly my wife was more afraid of alligators,” Dennis Anderson told NBC 11.
Neighbors had reported seeing the 300-400 pound black bear in the neighborhood days before.
