Berkley rallies behind Reid

Rep. Shelley Berkley, D-Nev., rallied behind Sen. Harry Reid this morning following a report that at least one other Nevada Democrat believes he will lose re-election.
“No one can match Senator Reid’s record when it comes to delivering for the families in our state,” Berkley said in a statement. "Or his efforts to create clean energy jobs and expand the green economy at home. That is why I know Nevadans will again choose Harry Reid to be their senator this November.”
Berkley was responding to a report in Politico in which Rep. Dina Titus told a group of fellow House Democrats last week that Reid "is done; he's going to lose."
Politico said three people in the room confirmed the remark as coming from Titus. Titus denies saying that. She did confirm she used the f-word to describe what would happen to Democrats who did not heed the disastrous-for-Dems election results from Massachusetts last week.
Berkley was not in that particular meeting, her spokesman David Cherry said this morning. It was a gathering of House freshmen the day after Democrats lost a long-held Senate seat in the Bay State.
