Buick, GMC, Mazda sold under one roof in northwest auto mall
Staluppi Automotive Group has risen to become the No. 1 automotive dealer in volume sales in the northwest valley thanks in part to its acquisition of the Centennial Buick GMC and Mazda stores at 6500 Centennial Center Boulevard.
The combination of highly respected franchises all at one location has proven to be a big attraction, General Manager Jan Sheinfeld said.
"Staluppi Automotive Group purchased the buildings in the past two years before adding the Mazda line to the location only two months ago," said Sheinfeld, a 14-year resident of Las Vegas. "The brands we have at this facility range from the $100 payment on a brand-new Mazda all the way up to a $60,000 GMC Denali SUV."
Sheinfeld, who has been in the car business for eight years, said the facility also features about 100 used vehicles. Many of the used vehicles are still under warranty thereby providing piece of mind for all customers
In addition, the product lines offer full-service facilities. Each of the service departments is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
"Our cars have all been through 117-point inspections," added Sheinfeld. "We do not put any vehicles on the lot for sale unless the car has met strict criteria. With the new-car franchises that we represent, it is crucial that every vehicle is reputable."
The current automobile market has stabilized in the past six months, added Sheinfeld.
"We have been selling to the entire gamut at the Centennial auto mall," said Sheinfeld. "People are now purchasing vehicles because of a pent up demand since the downturn began in the fall of 2008."
Sheinfeld said the manufacturers have provided attractive lease rates, dealer incentives and purchase options to bring more buyers to the showrooms.
"There truly is no better time to purchase than right now," he said.
To date, the Buick GMC dealership has been paced by the 2010 GMC Terrain SUV, while the Mazda store has seen an increase across the board for the full lineup including the Mazda3 and the Mazda6.
While each of the dealerships has increased its volume, yet another key factor is that sales personnel are now able to generate good livings.
"This is not an easy business, so a sales consultant needs to be dedicated, consistent and make certain that he or she provides the utmost in customer service," added Sheinfeld. "This is a specialized industry where customer relations run deep."
Staluppi Automotive includes a total of five dealerships in Southern Nevada and more than 26 dealerships nationwide.
