Calif. woman removed from plane after in-flight bomb threat

NEW ORLEANS — A California woman has been removed from a flight in New Orleans after authorities say she made bomb threats during a SkyWest flight, though the FBI does not consider them credible.

FBI spokeswoman Mary Beth Romig says the 31-year-old woman from Anaheim was being questioned but not arrested.

SkyWest says 70 passengers were on Flight 6388 from Houston to Miami Wednesday. It was diverted to the New Orleans airport shortly after 9:15 a.m. SkyWest spokeswoman Marissa Snow says it left again about 11:15 a.m. and was expected in Miami by 2:15 p.m.
