PROVIDENCE PLANS ANNUAL MEETING
The Providence Master Community's annual meeting is planned for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Providence Community Center at the Las Vegas Beltway and Hualapai Way.
Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Ross, Ward 6, is slated to attend and answer questions and comments.

EXPRESS WHY YOU LOVE CENTENNIAL HILLS FOR CHANCE TO WIN DINNER AND A MOVIE
Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Ross invites Ward 6 residents to express -- in three minutes or less -- why they love Centennial Hills.
The video contest is open to all area residents, but city of Las Vegas employees and their family are ineligible.
The videos must include family-oriented content and be uploaded to YouTube.com. Participants must email the embedded YouTube link to
videocontest@lasvegasnevada.gov by Dec. 31.
Winners are to receive dinner for four at Leticia's Mexican Cocina, 7585 Norman Rockwell Lane, and a movie at Santa Fe Station, 4949 N. Rancho Drive.
The winner is scheduled to be announced in January.
The videos are slated to be judged by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman, Ross, City Manager Elizabeth Fretwell and Communications Director David Riggleman.
The winning video is to be featured on the city's website, lasvegasnevada.gov.

GROUP SEEKS TO FEED DOGS, CATS
BY COLLECTING CANNED PET FOOD
C.A.T.S. Inc., a nonprofit organization that distributes donated cat and dog food to residents and shelters in hard times, is collecting unopened dry or canned food through the end of December.

HELP OF SOUTHERN NEVADA LAUNCHES HOLIDAY PROGRAMS
HELP of Southern Nevada, 1640 E. Flamingo Road, is launching three of its annual programs this holiday season.
Donations to HELP's Thanksgiving program provides a holiday meal for a family of four.
The group's Adopt-a-Family program allows people to assist needy families in giving them clothing and toys for the holidays.
Lastly, the Holiday Assistance/Toy Drive benefits more than 16,000 families with its donations.

FINAL LANDSCAPE TOUR SCHEDULED
The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is slated to host the last of its free landscape tours this year at 9 a.m. Saturday in the courtyard at the Lifelong Learning Center, 8050 Paradise Road.
