Chapman showcases 2014 Jeep Cherokee

The 2014 Jeep Cherokee, recently revealed at the New York International Auto Show, has caused some big buzz, and for good reason, said Don Hamrick, general manager of Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.

Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram and Chapman Chrysler Jeep are the first dealerships in Nevada to receive the vehicle .

“We’re very excited to exclusively offer customers an up close and personal look at the 2014 Jeep Cherokee so they can experience it for themselves,” Hamrick said.

The 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which will replace the Jeep Liberty, has a variety of features that make it optimal for off-road and street driving. The traditionally boxy Jeep has transitioned into a more contemporary design by smoothing out the rough lines and off-road characteristics.

Other changes include a 271-horsepower V-6 engine, allowing for a towing capacity of as much as 4,500 pounds.

The Trailhawk edition carries Jeep’s trail-rated badge, allowing it to handle a series of challenging off-road conditions . The Cherokee is as much as 45 percent more fuel efficient when equipped with a standard four-cylinder engine; fuel economy estimates are 31 mpg for highway driving.

“Don and I took the Cherokee for a spin on the Sevenmile Rim trail in Moab a few weeks ago,” Chapman Chrysler Jeep General Manager Gary Brewer, said. “We traversed some pretty slippery rock and the Cherokee performed astoundingly.”
