Christensen called candidate for U.S. Senate

Nevada Assemblyman Chad Christensen has already told Las Vegas political commentator Jon Ralston he's exploring very aggressively a campaign for the U.S. Senate seat held by Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Christensen is taking it a step further in Washoe County by being billed as a candidate on an invitation to the Washoe County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner held Thursday.

Christensen has not returned requests for comment from the Review-Journal. A phone number on the Web site for his campaign for State Senate District 9 doesn't accept messages and he hasn't returned e-mails to the address posted seeking insight on which office he intends to pursue.
