Courtesy Imports’ new Kia Optima profile sleeker, sportier

The Kia Optima features Sirius Satellite Radio, a cooled glove box, iPod connectivity and hands-free Bluetooth phone operation.

The EX model options include Kia's new infotainment system by Microsoft, integrated backup camera and push-button start. A panoramic moon-roof, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats and a navigation system are also available.

The Optima offers a base 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a turbo option. The four-door midsize sedan has a six-speed automatic transmission with a manual alternative available that comes with steering wheel paddle shifters.

The Optima gets up to 35 mpg on the freeway, according to Kia, and carries a five-year, 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.

Courtesy Imports, 260 N. Gibson Road in Henderson, has 23 service bays with 15 certified technicians. Additionally, complimentary shuttle service to minimize customer inconvenience is provided.

The new Optima Hybrid is a front-wheel drive, four-door sedan that gets 36 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway, according to Kia. The vehicle comes with a 2.4-liter engine combined with a 30-kilowatt electric motor and lightweight lithium polymer batteries to provide 206 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.

Using a six-speed automatic transmission, the Optima Hybrid can go from zero to 60 mph in 9.2 seconds.
