Coyote Springs unveils Web site
In its first two weeks, a new Web site for the Villages of Coyote Springs attracted nearly 500 "Trailblazers" who signed up to get early access to information about the community popping up in the desert about 60 miles northeast of Las Vegas, according to Pardee Homes Southern Nevada Division President Klif Andrews.
A home buyers interest list has grown to nearly 4,000 names during the last year and the list is growing on a daily basis, Andrews said. Those with an interest in the project can become Trailblazers by registering on villagesofcoyotesprings.com.
Trailblazers get exclusive access to what's new at Coyote Springs, including development updates, exclusive invitations to special events, special offers and sneak previews, Andrews said.
"The Trailblazer Web program is our response to the many inquiries about Coyote Springs from those who want to be first to see what we are calling 'the next great place,' " Andrews said. "There seems to be a pent-up demand for an alternative to living in Las Vegas.
"Our Trailblazers tell us they want to get away from the noise and congestion of the city, to see the stars at night and be pioneers in Nevada's newest town," Andrews said. "One woman told us she already has her furniture picked out and plans to be in her new home by Christmas 2008."
Pardee was selected by Coyote Springs Investments to be the master residential developer of the 43,000-acre master-planned community 50 miles north of Las Vegas.
Some 20,000 acres have been set aside for residential development in Coyote Springs. Development of the first 3,000 acres is planned to include about 10,000 homes in five villages, with the first home sales scheduled for September 2008.
Surrounded by protected federal land 20 miles in any direction, Coyote Springs is divided by the Pahranagat Wash wetlands, and is planned to include some 12,000 acres of nature preserve, extensive trail systems, parks, open spaces and multi-species habitat.
"Coyote Springs is designed to be an outdoor-oriented, environmentally responsible and technologically advanced town, offering a wide variety of home choices that reflect the architectural heritage of the American West," Andrews said.
Plans for Pardee's first phase central residential amenities include a 15-acre recreational lake, 2,500-seat amphitheater, multiple parks, a home-finding center and recreation center. Pardee is also working with the Clark County School District in planning the first school in Coyote Springs, a K-8 elementary/middle school, to serve pioneer first phase families.
The Coyote Springs master plan also envisions a series of golf courses, a major golf training facility, vacation golf villas, custom lots and multi-family, commercial and retail developments. Buildout of the community is estimated to take 40 or 50 years with the population maxing out at 160,000 to 200,000.
Pardee Homes has built homes and master-planned communities for more than 35,000 families in Southern Nevada since 1952. There are 19 active Pardee neighborhoods throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
