D.R. Horton offers early stimulus package

D.R. Horton Homes has announced its own version of a stimulus package on completed homes. Located in 40 neighborhoods throughout the Las Vegas Valley, hundreds of homes are available for immediate purchase and move-in.

"Our strategy is to be extremely aggressive in 2008," said Bill Vincent, sales manager for D.R. Horton. "These 400 homes are part of our commitment to help stimulate the economy. For two days only, we will be offering the stimulus bill, which covers 3 percent FHA down payment, plus 6 percent towards closing costs or 6 percent for closing costs for purchases of $300,000 or more.

"We do not believe that Las Vegas should wait until May to start realizing the benefits of the recently passed stimulus bill, so we are jump-starting that effort with our own stimulus package the weekend of Feb. 23 and 24," Vincent said. "We are offering generous down payment assistance and zero closing costs for those who qualify, so don't miss your chance to secure the home of your dreams for only a $600 deposit."

Over the past seven years, D.R. Horton has unveiled townhome floor plans called triplexes. Initially offered in the builder's San Diego neighborhoods, models are now available in the Las Vegas Valley.

Triplexes offer attached two-car garages for each unit owner, and the complexes include swimming pools. Prices start in the low $100,000s.

Neighborhoods showcase more than 120 furnished models ranging from 1,000 to 5,300 square feet.
