Daredevil sets record for semitruck jump — VIDEO
Evel Knievel Days, held in Butte, Montana, came to a climax on Saturday with Gregg Godfrey's world record semitruck jump.
And boy, does it come with some awesome video.
A weekend dedicated to celebrating Knivel and the daredevil spirit included stunt exhibitions, music and world record attempts.
Godfrey was able to successfully jump 166 feet in his semi, destroying the previous record of only 62 feet.
About 2,000 people came out to watch Godfrey launch the 9-ton truck at 70 mph.
Knievel himself blessed the jump, saying, "Gregg Godfrey just brought Evel Knievel Days to a whole new level."
