Daughter of Kansas man accused of feeding son to pigs says he’s not a killer

Kansas City, KS — Investigators say the Kansas City, Kansas case of a missing little boy and human remains found in a shed among pigs was one of the worst cases they've ever investigated.

Police say they suspect Adrian Jones was killed and then fed to pigs. His father, Michael Jones, is facing charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery against his wife, Heather Jones, and child abuse charges against Adrian.

While prosecutors wait for DNA results of the bones medical examiners say are a child's, the adult daughter of Michael Jones is speaking out, saying there's no way her dad could have done what police are alleging.

Aisha, 23, lives in Baltimore.

"I'm here to let everyone know that my father Michael Jones is no killer, he's the most loving, helpful. He would help anybody," she said.

Aisha is the half-sister of 7-year-old Adrian, a young boy who went missing yet never reported. Adrian lived with the family in their Piper neighborhood home. He was home schooled.

Kansas City, KS, police showed up at the house around Thanksgiving when gunshots were fired and that's when police were told the child was missing.

"Our phone conversations aren't long at all," Aisha said when asked if she asked her father why he didn't report Adrian missing.

She said she's had brief phone calls with her dad who remains in jail.

"He's OK. He's trying to cope with everything that's going on, but it's hard. He can't sleep or anything," Aisha said.

She said Michael Jones maintains his innocence.

"It's hard to deal with my brother being missing. I love both of them, so it's hard," Aisha said.

Aisha said she cringes at the media coverage surrounding her little brother and father. She said she can't venture a guess as to what happened to Adrian, but believes her dad is innocent.

Michael Jones is being held on a $10 million bond.
