Dead: World’s Most Famous Movie Trailer Voice

A week ago, I listed all the Hollywood celebs who are supporting Barack Obama (tons of them) and John McCain (a handful). One of those Obama donors just died, and you know his voice, but not his face.

As I wrote last week:
"Even if you watch a movie trailer narrated by the guy who says, 'In a world' — even that narrator guy, Don LaFontaine, has donated $3,300 to Obama and the Democratic Party."

LaFontaine's lung collapsed and he died Monday from medical complications. He was 68.

For a great little lookback at LaFontaine's work — or I should say a great listenback — Mark Caro of the Chicago Tribune memorializes the top voiceover movie trailer guy in American history.
